the road was long. rocky. hard. at time i felt like i was going nowhere. i knew crap about finance, which was what nearly every self-respecting econs student was headed towards. i chose a law major. i took a double degree in accountancy and gave up after two years, wasting valuable time and of course seeing my gpa plummet. i should have taken more econs coursework. i ended up doing a senior thesis even though i was totally clueless about crunching numbers. i felt like an idiot when i went for thesis class sessions, simply because i had no clue what everyone was talking (econ geek speak i say).
and i finally ended up an economist. wow. i sometimes go bonkers trying to figure out how on earth i managed to do that and i realise it's all God's timing and grace.
my own road to Emmaus was tough. hard. but when looking back, i see God's leading. Even though a new road is now presented, God is there to lead me. All the way.
They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"
